Here we go!

I'm one of the few people in the world who has yet to begin blogging, and while I know that my only readers will be my parents, and dear friends - Welcome!  I'm excited and a little anxious to begin posting about our life online, but knowing my audience makes this experience a little more comforting!

I realize my title is a little deceiving, but I figured since I only have 11 more weeks until I get to meet our new little bugger I could go ahead with it.  Speaking of little bugger, Roman is yet again under the weather.  Poor kid seems to get everything.  It doesn't stop him from being ridiculously cute though.

(This one's for you Dad)

Kind of makes it difficult to actually follow through with a time-out when he melts my heart.  So excited to meet his little brother or sister!  My heart will be in a complete puddle.

Here's a prego pick from a few weeks ago...

Lately, Roman is pretty fascinated with the baby.  Everyone has a baby.  He has no problem walking up to you, lifting up your shirt and looking for the baby.  Even at church.  I do, however, love that he has started laying his head on my tummy and giving the baby kisses.  The first time he did it completely caught us off guard because we had never taught him to do it.  See?   Puddle.

Well, I'm officially in my 3rd trimester so bring on the weight gain.  I keep reminding myself that I only have 11 weeks left, and since this will probably be the last time I'll be pregnant I'm going to go ahead and enjoy those 5 McFlurry's I had in 5 days, the handful of chocolate chips I had with lunch, and the decaf lattes I keep going back for.  The trick is, if you don't actually use your debit card, then it doesn't count.  We have an old coffee can full of change that I think Jason collected in college, that is slowly growing smaller and smaller.  Mind you, it's still 3/4 of the way full, but I'm running out of quarters...which is already a little embarrassing to give a stack of quarters to the 15 year old in the drive-thru of McDonald's, or the friend of a friend who's kid plays on the same team as your niece and "aren't you Jason's wife?" barista.  Love a small town.  (I really do though.  It feels like home here. Along with the scenery, the people are what I love about it.)

My first entry was a little longer than I had anticipated writing, but I guess I had more to say than just "Welcome"!  I'm excited to have this space for pictures and little snippets of our life here and there!

To whomever my audience (mom and dad), have a wonderful weekend!
